Principal's Message

Dear Sexton Mountain Families,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Sexton Mountain Elementary School! I want to thank you for entrusting us with your precious children. We take our responsibility to you and your children very seriously. Our number one priority is to provide a safe, joy filled learning environment in which your child can grow and thrive.

We have three simple rules: Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible. All staff members look for opportunities to recognize students who are making safe, respectful, and responsible choices throughout the day by giving them Eagle Eyes. When you see Eagle Eyes come home please talk to your child about why they received them. By reinforcing how proud you are of their choices, it helps us to promote a safe, kind school environment. 

I am very excited to work with students, staff, and families to continue building a community of thoughtful, caring learners. Each year we have a fresh opportunity to recommit to each other and our community. Together we are always better. Please take advantage of opportunities throughout the year to participate in the Sexton Mountain Community. There are a variety of ways to support your child’s learning inside and outside of the school day. Please check out the Parent Teachers Club website for opportunities.
